Cialis can be taken, with or without food, approximately 30-60 minutes prior to sexual activity but to establish an erection, sexual stimulation is required as only taking a pill will not be sufficient. Do not split or break the pill – it must be swallowed whole. Do not take more than once in any 24 hour period. Should an erection last over 4 hours or is painful, seek medical help immediately.
If you are being treated for pulmonary arterial hypertension with Adcirca, do not take Cialis for erectile dysfunction.
If you are on a daily dose of Cialis and miss a dose, don't take two tablets to make up for the missed dose. Skip the missed dose and resume your schedule the following day.
Whilst taking Cialis, avoid alternative erectile dysfunction treatments and alcohol as it could increase any side effects. In addition, do not eat grapefruit or drink grapefruit juice; these products interact with Cialis and could potentially cause dangerous side effects.
If you suffer from any side effects, such as changes in your vision or hearing, chest pain or an irregular heartbeat, nausea, sweating, fainting or a painful erection, seek medical help as soon as possible.
